Local historian Jim Segrave-Daly has led discussions for adults and teens about the life of George Washington and how he, among many notable contemporaries, was the perfect choice to lead an army and a newly-formed republic.  

Other riveting discussions he has led for adults include Lincoln’s lifelong engagement with slavery, one of America’s most challenging issues, as well as his navigation of the difficult politics that encompassed secession & the Civil War. Also, Baby Boomers remade America.  The birth of the Boomers transformed the nation in a post-war world, when peace and prosperity reigned.  We’ll look at the economic, cultural & political changes brought on by the Baby Boom generation.
