Green Up East Brandywine
Everyone wants to live, work, and play in a clean and green community... and it’s up to everyone to make it possible and improve the overall quality of life for us all.
Join Pennsylvanians across the state – and Americans across the nation – for the Great American Cleanup on April 23, 2017. This year for the first time, you can participate in the Great American Cleanup event, known locally as "Green Up East Brandywine," by volunteering right here in East Brandywine Township.
How Can You Participate?
As a Clean-Up Volunteer
Check the table and map below to see if an area you would like to help clean up has been registered. If so, all you need to do is come to the listed meeting place at the listed meeting time to help out. Trash bags, safety vests, and gloves will have been supplied to the area captains by the Township. The area captains can even inform you of where you can leave your collected trash for pick up by PennDOT.
As an Area Captain
If you do not see the area you would like to help clean-up in the table or map below, please consider becoming an Area Captain! Area Captains are responsible for providing some basic information to the Township such as a description of the area to be cleaned, a meeting time and location, and the number of volunteers expected. Area Captains are encouraged to solicit civic associations, homeowner associations, schools, youth groups, families/friends, and business colleagues to help out. Area Captains will in turn be provided with trash bags, safety vests, safety instructions, area property owner information, and gloves by the Township. The Township will also arrange for roadside collection of the trash bags.
