Mulch for Sale

For the tenth year, East Brandywine Township is selling double ground mulch. This mulch is from trees and brush collected and chipped along Township roads and from recycled Christmas Trees. There are no dyes or chemical additives in our mulch. The cost of the mulch is $15.00 per yard with a delivery charge of $10.00 within the Township. Delivery is free for a full  truckload (6 yards). You can make an appointment to pick up mulch at the Township Complex or order on line at our website. We have a limited quantity so buy your mulch early.

Spring Curbside Leaf Collection

Please place all leaves along side of the road on lawn area within six feet of road edge before Monday, April 6. Placing leaves on lawn allows the leaves to dry and the vacuum can pick them up easier. Leaves must not be placed on the roadway, as this can cause a traffic hazard and will not be picked up by the Road Crew. Do not block storm drain inlets and drainage areas. Our leaf vacuum cannot pick up sticks and branches, so please do not mix them with your leaf piles. Leaves can be placed in paper leaf bags but not in plastic bags. Chipping Services

The Road Department is continuing our popular chipping service. Residents place their materials to be chipped at curbside. The service is free if it takes less than 15 minutes. The cost is $25 for each additional 15-minute block. Additional trips are charged $25 for 15-minute intervals. Please place cut ends facing the street for easier removal by the Department. Due to time restraints, we may limit the time spent chipping.
